Do you love hand applique but never seem to have time for it? Patty will show you easy techniques to prepare your project and make it so portable, you'll take it with you wherever you go. In class, you'll work on a simple flower of her design and learn how to apply the same methods to your own projects.

If you've always wanted to try your hand at hand embroidery or want to brush up on your skills, then come and learn the process of this enjoyable technique.

You'll start this session with your finished blocks. You'll learn how to set them together (with lattice, set blocks, etc.), add borders, determine and mark a quilting design, develop quilting techniques, and attach binding.

Joyce's wonderful original design is back from the 2017 AQS Quilt Show in Paducah, Kentucky, and is ready to inspire you!. While finding this many read and white striped fabrics for a large quilt can be challenging, Joyce hopes you'll come to class to learn the technique as your strip collection grows.

Jane designed this twin-size quilt for her granddaughter Eloise as she moves to her “big girl” bed. The class is primarily lecture/demo, but students will also be able to work on their quilts during class, leaving with instructions and samples on how to give a fairy tale ending to their own project, including how to machine appliqué the border and add whimsical spiral flowers. Jane will help you personalize the crown with the name of your own little princess - embroidery design files are included in the cost of the class. Please ask for a supply list.

Sashiko began when Japanese peasants developed a stitching technique that they called "little stabs" to patch torn and worn clothings. Modern Sashiko is a running stitch worked in repeating or interlocking patterns through one of more layers of fabric. You'll learn this relaxing technique as we work on a placement.
