An original design by Ann Shaw is easy to piece using a freezer paper template method. Reminiscent of Ruth McDowell and Cynthia England, the bold poppy flower has large pieces and makes a beautiful all hanging or table topper. You will learn how to transfer the design to freezer paper to make templates, an easy method for piecing sections together by working from the right side of the fabric, and suggestions for quilting with either a walking foot orfree motion. Taught over two evenings, you should be well on your way to a finished top by the end of the second evening.
Purchase of Ann Shaw's Poppy pattern is required. We recommend purchasing our fabric kit to make fabric selection a no-brainer and allow you to begin sewing much more quickly. However, you may bring your own fabric.
