Quilting Strategies and Bernina Q-Series (rulers, automation free motion for custom work)

This class is great if you are puzzled by how to approach quilting—should your piece be custom quilted or will an overall pantograph do the trick?  Amanda will provide tips and tricks for great free-motion quilting, ruler work, and will demonstrate some basics of Qmatic, Bernina’s automation.  Time during this class will be pretty evenly split between lecture/demo and hands on play. We’ll have all 5 of our longarms loaded so there will be an opportunity for all to do a bit of hands-on play. You’ll see that it is easy to move from quilting on your domestic machine to one of our longarms without stress.  As your projects grow in size, it is often sensible to get your quilts on a frame. Our rental longarms might be your new best friend; or perhaps, you’ll clear out that garage stall for your very own new Q-Series “bestie”.  Come see what is possible with the next-gen Bernina Q-series quilting machines.
