Only One

Does the "Stack and Whack" quilts with the hexagon and octagons seem a little overwhelming? The Only One quilt by Dora Cary could be your answer. This pattern simplifies the process to a basic square shape. The store model was done with Alexander Henry's Gashley print. It is a fun quilt. What makes this pattern successful is using a large print fabric with lots of negative space. Ideally the print design should repeat every 22 to 24 inches. This will be a two day class. The first day will be fabric lay out and understanding of block construction. Using your machine on the first day will be up to you and how quickly you get your cutting done. You will need your blocks completed by the second class and you will need a design wall which will be discussed in the first class. This should be a fun class with a better understanding of fabric layout.
