Saturday Sampler 2026

In February of this year C&T did a presentation at Sewposium for about 60 shop owners.  Amy Barrett, a publisher at C&T publishing, talked about trends in the quilting and crafting industry.  One of the products from that conversation that really struck a chord with me was their quilt calendar.  C&T takes their top selling books from their top selling authors and publishes a calendar.  We got a little preview of the calendar series for 2026 and I was just blown away.   There are different techniques, different sizes of quilts, all from books I’ve been wanting to purchase.  Books like “how do I quilt it” , “no scrap left behind” to “just one charm pack”.  So, there are tidbits not only on piecing, destashing, but also on the actual quilting. Talk about skill building!! Each month we’ll look more deeply into the composition of the book itself but also sew the quilt.  Each month, you’ll get the instructions for how to complete the quilt top.  At the end, you’ll receive the full set of instructions, in booklet form.    Generally speaking, each month, you’ll get the colored fabrics—we did some simple math and if you get all of your quilts done from the series, that would be about $400 of FREE fabric. 

To make things even more interesting, and to encourage you not to take the summer off, we will be issuing a punch card.  Each month that you finish your quilt (yes, quilted and bound), you’ll get a punch on your card.  If you don’t get your quilt done BUT you purchase your fabric kit ($30), we’ll punch your card.  If you have All of your punches filled in, your December quilt kit will be entirely FREE!!
