What could be more practical than a table runner with hot pads sewn into it? This table runner pattern has three 8" folded star hot pads built into it. The stars are stunning alone, but together they create a 3-dimensional runner that provides protection and charm to your table or buffet. Folded triangles (prairie points) are added to the ends to coordinate with the stars. The table runner can double as a stunning wall hanging.

This has two patterns in one; besides the table runner pattern, it also includes the directions for making the hot pad as a single item. The hot pad is made with a custom interfacing foundation, and the pattern includes four of these, one for the hot pad, three for the table runner. There is a tutorial for making the hot pad so you can learn it quickly. The link for this will be sent upon request. The pattern includes a fabric swatch chart to aid in fabric selection.
