Learn how to use the walking foot on your domestic machine to easily finish those quilt tops you've made but are unsure of how to quilt. This class takes you through getting your top ready to quilt, setting up your machine, how to look at your top and visualize what to put where, and practice doing several designs.

Blue Moone Placemats and Crackers are beginner friendly Quiltworx patterns that teach you basic foundation paper piecing along with efficient chain piecing techniques, so your project comes together quickly. Please ask for a supply list and pre-class instructions to help you prepare for class.

This class starts with a firm foundation of understanding fabric, tools and basic skills that will build confidence. Students will construct a throw or twin-size quilt using the pattern "Framed" by Carolyn's In Stitches.

In this hands-on class, we will take you step-by-step through the process to create your own sturdy and portable Catch All Caddy. Some of the skills you will learn in this class include installing a zipper, making pockets and expandable interior dividers, creating padded handles and how to finish seams using binding. By the end of class, you will have a nice new cady to organize and carry all of your sewing supplies!

In this beginner friendly class, you will learn how to construct a set of three pretty and practical zippered bags. In class, you will be walked step by step through the process to create these easy to make and useful bags. You will learn how to install a zipper, add an accent border, and bind the seams zippers to make a great looking set of matching bags. These bags are fun and easy to make and are great for gift-giving.

Stuck on a project? Just need a little help and some time to sew? These sessions are designed for you. This is not a formal class but instead it is a time when you can come in and bring whatever project you are working on and get help with it. Maybe it's adding borders that didn't get completed in class, or maybe you have questions about binding, or simply want to come sew and enjoy the company of friends you have made in other classes. While this was requested by students in my other classes, it is open to anyone who wants to come.

Copper Canyon is a beautiful quilt from Whirligig Designs offered as a BOM. This class is for confident beginners and experienced quilters alike. This is a perfect opportunity to learn new skills. Classes are scheduled for seven sessions (once a month) beginning in September (skipping December). Each session will cover 3-4 blocks, which you will complete prior to the next class. The last session in April, is planned for final construction of the quilt top. The finished quilt measures 102? x 102?, or if you would like a smaller quilt, different border options will be presented. Kits are available using the original fabrics or you can choose your own fabrics.

Divided Horizon is a beautiful quilt done with Hoffman Stonehenge fabric. If you have never used an Ombre fabric this quilt will give you experience with this type of fabric. The pattern by Pine Tree Country Quilts is pretty straight forward so it is a great quilt for a new quilter as well as one with experience. This will be a one day class and the success of this quilt will be careful cutting. All strips will need to be cut prior to class. I will be offering you a free 2 hour session to help you with the cutting and labeling of your strips so you are ready for sewing on the class date. This throw will be one you will feel great to put in your home or give to a special person.

Elvira is a fun and fast quilt made from fat quarters and a great class for beginner quilters. Construction is very easy with the Stripology XL Ruler by GE Designs and the GEasy Point Timmers. I'll show you how to get the perfect strips using the Stripology XL ruler and how to use the GEasy Point Trimmers. The pattern comes with 4 different size options: Crib, Lap, Full and a Queen.

Using basic embroidery stitches, make a beautiful brooch with nine patterns to choose from. Each class will focus on a specific design, but you may do whichever pattern you like. Learn how to trace the pattern and stitch it on the your wool square, and put together the brooch when finished.

Create a fun, fanciful and fabulous face using the fusible collage method. This class is for every level of sewer/collager. I will provide a face form (if needed) and you will build your face around it. My faces were inspired by Freddy Moran whose color theory includes 'red as a neutral'. I picked out several faces from fabrics (The Ghastlies and Tula Pink's Queen of Hearts for example). I also made a face for a friend and personalized it by putting objects in her hair that were specifically her. Any kind of fabric can be used.

Your mat will look fantastic on your table. This is a collage class using a pattern and collage method designed by Emily Taylor. To me, this is a cross between Laura Heine's fusible method and Susan Carlson's 'cutting loose' method. We won't be cutting out specific motifs such as flowers or paisleys but we will be using free form cuts of fused fabric using a pattern that has a guideline for color values. The results are delightful and you will be so surprised at how artistic you are!

If you loved the original "Framed pattern but want to use a panel or directional (one way) fabric, then this class is for yo. The pattern has been re-designed to accommodate directional fabric with all the guesswork taken out. The new design can be made from fat quarters, a panel or focus fabric and a "frame" fabric. The first session will be cutting your fabric and identifying all the pieces in each block. There will be lots of tips and tricks for organizing your project. The second session will be creating the blocks and the final sessions will be putting it together. There will be some "homework" between each session which will allow you to finish the top.
